for a nutritious diet
Many people wonder what a nutritious diet looks like. The internet and advertising offer such a variety of information that it is difficult to keep track of everything.
The German Nutrition Society (DGE) has summarized current scientific findings in simple rules.
Based on these rules, we have put together 9 tips for a nutritious diet that you can easily and effortlessly incorporate into your everyday life – just try them out!
Enjoy the variety

No food alone contains all the nutrients. The more varied the food, the lower the risk of an unbalanced diet.
“5 a day”

Enjoy at least 3 portions of vegetables (approx. 400 g) and 2 portions of fruit (approx. 250 g) every day. For a complete diet, vegetables and fruit should be the largest food group in terms of quantity in a complete diet.
Animal products & grains

Dairy products such as yogurt and cheese can be enjoyed daily, fish is better only once or twice a week and meat no more than 300 to 600 g per week. When it comes to cereal products, wholemeal is the best choice.
Vegetable oil

It is better to use vegetable oils, which have more unsaturated fatty acids. There is a wide range to choose from: rapeseed oil, walnut oil, linseed oil or olive oil are all good choices.
Reduce sugar and salt

Use sugar and salt sparingly. It is best to use delicious herbs and spices creatively.
Drink plenty

Every body needs fluids. Therefore, drink around 1.5 liters every day, preferably water.
Tasty and careful

It is best to cook food for as long as necessary and as short as possible, using as little water and fat as possible. Gentle preparation preserves the natural taste and protects the nutrients.
Take your time and enjoy

Even in stressful everyday life, you should allow yourself a break and not eat on the side. Slow, conscious eating promotes enjoyment and a feeling of satiety.
Plenty of exercise

A nutritious diet and physical activity belong together. This includes not only regular sport, but also an active everyday life: stairs instead of an elevator, a bike instead of a car or a nice walk to dean&david 😉
